Glen Washington is one of those countless reggae artists who enjoyed a brief moment of success and then vanished into obscurity. He topped the charts with the single 'Rockers Nuh Crackers' for producer Joe Gibbs in the late seventies. Then he continued his musical career as a drummer and got involved in the studio band which recorded Culture's "Africa Stand Alone" album. s a drummer he also toured with Shinehead. In the second half of the nineties Glen Washington made an astonishing comeback as a singer with the excellent 'Brother To Brother' for Coxsone Dodd. With his distinctive and soulful voice - strongly reminiscent of Beres Hammond - he easily voiced over some classic Studio One riddims. In the past three years or so the singer has been very prolific.
