The cool ruler hasn't been in such fine form for a long time as he is on this Xterminator outing. Gregory Isaacs delivers a set of lovers lyrics - concerning his trespasses against his friends gal - that he's used before. But if Fatis has to put up with second hand lyrics of the man, Gregory himself turns in a great performance and Fatis has captured every groan and vocal idiosyncrasy. Bobo dread and hot sizzling Sizzla also hits hard with an excellent delivery. This prolific youth fully lives up to expectations and it's truly astonishing how seemingly effortless he can maintain a high quality output. Underpinning Gregory Isaacs and Sizzla is a murderous new Xterminator riddim, revealed in its full glory on the back. As for the riddim, it's not an original riddim, however its foundation is hard to detect because the Xterminator crew have changed up the key and played it in a totally modern fashion. But, attention riddim spotters, if you want a clue this one will do...check out Lloyd Parks' "Mafia" and you'll agree that the Xterminator riddim is a deft adaption.
