Artist & tune
  • Richie Stephens - Let's Dance
Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
After the February 2016 release of "Rain From The Sky", the first single of Richie's forthcoming album "Luv-A-Dub Style", an album set for release early 2017 with some fine lovers rock and rub-a-dub tracks which encourage couples to dance together like in the rub-a-dub era, the second single taken from that album has now hit the streets.

The song, "Let's Dance" is a cover version of John Holt's original for Studio One, but it was Gregory Isaacs rendition of the song produced by Richard 'Dirty Harry' Hall, that inspired Richie Stephens' version. Steely & Clevie laid down the riddim track shortly before Steely took ill and eventually passed away on September 1, 2009. Clevie just recently found back the riddim on a hard drive and decided to voice Richie Stephens on it. The final result is a well produced lovers piece across a sublime relicked Studio One riddim, with veteran vocalist once again showing that he's an exceptional singer with a great voice.

A wonderful tune well worth playing on a romantic evening.
