The Dub Akom band from Marseille, France, not only has established themselves as a well respected live backing band, due to the quality and the professionalism when gracing the stage with artists such as Chezidek, Etana, Gappy Ranks, Perfect Giddimani, Konshens, Popcaan, RDX, Mykal Rose, Mr. Vegas and more recently Assassin aka Agent Sasco, they have also been quite successful as riddim makers with popular riddims such as "Way Back", "Heartwarming", "Full Swing", "Bonafide", Highlight", and "Vitamin". Releases on their own Akom Records feature well known artist such as Konshens, Beenie Man, Lukie D, Bugle, Voicemail, Jah Mason, Lutan Fyah, Pressure Busspipe, Turbulence, Million Stylez, Chezidek, and Johnny Osbourne, but they also try to highlight some talented upcoming artists, which led to the release of singles from Jah Torius, Jahmiel, and Jahnett Tafari. For their latest single release they have collaborated with an upcoming Jamaican artist named Vershon.

Kemar Vershawn Brown, popularly known as Vershon, hails from the volatile community of Cockburn Pen in Kingston, Jamaica. Overcoming hardships as a youth and from a single parent home, Vershon knew from an early age that music was his way out. From as early as primary school he began writing songs and recorded his first song at the age of 9. He attended the Seaward Primary School and the Greater Portmore High School, where he dropped out at Grade 10, but not one to give up, went on to further his studies at the Heart Trust NTA, where he gained a certificate in Electrical Engineering. Following Heart Trust at the age of 18, Vershon, by then had his own recording studio and as a self-taught engineer began recording himself. As a source of income, he also sold the riddims he would create, while still promoting his own projects at parties and dancehall sessions in and around his community. As a songwriter, Vershon writes all his music and draws inspiration from his personal experiences and those of others close to him. As an avid musician, Vershon also plays the keyboard and hopes to one day learn to play more instruments as he continues to perfect his craft.

Since he emerged on the scene, Vershon has recorded quite a few notable tunes and enjoyed hit success with "Mercy A God" for Lee Milla Production, "Inna Real Life" for Cashflow Records, and "Use To Hungry" for Frenz For Real Productions. And now, in the first month of 2K17, Akom Records puts out a brand new single with hit potential entitled "Wul It Out". Underpinned by an appealing riddim made by Dub Akom, this awesome conscious tune sees Vershon reaching out to the ghetto youth.
Man still a wul it out, wul it out, yeah
Although the street it rugged out deh
Man still a wul it out, wul it out
Nothing me nah worry 'bout

Every ghetto youth
Do the right, stay 'pon the right track
When struggles fight you, fight back
When a youth a rise, evil no like that
So fi go through life you haffi dodge bullet and side trap
Nuff a dem a wicked, all you see dem a chat
When the youth dem a lead, dem waan fi see dem a back
The queffer dem a touch the street ever strap
So we no too listen when the heathen a chat
