Prince Lincoln Thompson started his career as a member of the vocal group
The Tartans and recorded for Studio One between 1970-72 before he formed
the Royal Rasses in 1975. With these Royal Rasses he delivered us timeless
roots anthems such as "Humanity", "Kingston 11" and Love the way
it should be". So there's no denying that Prince Lincoln is one of the
giants of Jamaican music and he's been far too quiet for far too long.
He's back here like he was never away and his finely crafted songs are as
considered and thoughtful as ever. His arrangements are also a joy for the
ear. After all it was well worth the wait as it most definitely lives up to
all our expectations. Beautiful contemporary roots music !
