Benaiah is a three man band (or better one man, two women) which resides in Florida.
This is their second album and it's a real nice set of roots songs and love tunes. There isn't really a bad song on the album, but there's a lack of spirit in some tracks.
"Tonight is the night" & the dub "Tonight" (thanks Dean!) is one of the sweetest love songs we've heard for a long time, and Dennis Brown does a swingin version of the classic "Not my baby". The title song is a strong cultural statement over an "aggresive" riddim. On the outstanding tracks the voicings of Joseph Benaiah draw you in and before you know it your foot is tapping out the beat, and you might even find yourself humming supporting parts!
