Philip "Fatis" Burrell is definitely one of the current Jamaican top
producers with a sharp ear for quality and consciousness. His Exterminator
label produces famous artists like Luciano, Cocoa Tea, Sugar Minott, etc.
All those artists have released excellent - and even brilliant - albums under
his supervision. Exterminator comes out with a new album by none other
than Al Campbell, one of the main instigators in bringing roots and culture
to the forefront and making it popular with everybody. He's a top talented singer with a pleasent sweet voice, responsible for creating many hits over the past 2 decades. This new album is a mixture of roots and lovers all delivered in a conscious way. Backing tracks are by the Firehouse Crew, Sly Dunbar and Dean Fraser, crafting excellent reggae arrangements. It's a pity that none of the ten tracks starts properly. It takes several seconds (at one time even ten!) before "cueing".
