Some eleven cuts for the "Crash" riddim mashed up the dancehalls when they surfaced on 7" singles in the fall of 1999. Now, Bakchich Records have released the "Rhythm Choice Volume 1 ~ Crash" set which collects seven of those pieces. Laid by renown riddim masters Steely & Clevie at their own Studio 2000 and produced by Byron Murray & Clifford 'Mr. Vegas' Smith for "In The Streetz Records", this compilation set features the familiar round up of Jamaican dancehall rulers including some of today's hottest stars like Grammy winner Beenie Man, Mr. Vegas and Sean Paul. The menacing "Crash" is a typical Steely & Clevie riddim, very much in the same vein as their awesome "Street Sweeper" and "Bad Weather" riddims. Thus this set is hardcore bashment all the way with best tracks being Beenie Man's "In This Together", Sean Paul's outrageous "Check It Deeply" and Hawkeye's "Go Rachel". With matching cuts from the others and a nice megamix from Lord Issa this eight track (?!) compilation set provides dancehall thrills aplenty.
