From VP Records hugely popular 'Riddim Driven' series comes 'Giddeon War', which is the new killer-size riddim from Gargamel Music Productions (Buju Banton). The riddim is a fast paced reggae riddim and only live instruments are involved. The excellent album features household names such as Buju Banton, Jahmali, Determine, Luciano and Yasus Afari and vibrant up and coming artistic talents like Vylmark, Lutan Fayah, Anthony John and Sweet C. The album gathers a handful of lovers tunes, next to some strong roots songs, Buju & Luciano's duet Revolution Time being the most impressive tune. Buju's strong solo cut Judgement Morning is a warning and a description of the judgement on the Giddeon war. No need to say that Buju Banton also makes a serious impression with Police/Rude Boy on which the deejay confirms his fine skills and talents once again. The appearance of Vylmark's In The Way on this album is a pleasant surprise, and the top-notch quality of Perfect Picture, a lovers tune by the combination Anthony Cruz & Kiddie Famous, justifies its inclusion. The top vocalist Jahmali gets a firm grab on the riddim with his lick called Let Love This Time. The deejay Determine deservedly gets credits for delivering a solid cultural effort across this fine riddim. Packed with killer tunes, 'Giddeon War' is destined to become a chart topping album. |
