Based in San Fernando, Trinidad, JahLight Records already made a name for itself with riddims such as the "New Day" and "Mount Zion I". But now they have unleashed a brand new riddim called "PassOver", that will surely cause even more excitement among modern roots fans. The live played deep roots riddim hits real hard with its killer bass line and great drum & percussion work, complimented by nice keyboard layers. The "PassOver" riddim set features internationally known reggae artists such as Fyakin, whose song of praises "High High" kicks off this album in great style, Queen Omega with the powerful title track, "Passover", and Jamaican roots singer Wild Life with the nice love song, "No Drama". They are joined by lesser known artists such as Revelation, who makes a decent impression with the cautionary "The Plague Is Coming" and Jah Servant with an inspirational song called "Petty Thief". Furthermore there's Dainjamental with the controversial "Bun A Gossiper", RasLett with the enchanting "Revolution", and Roxy Singh with the compelling "Jah Light Will Shine". Two collaborations are included here as well. First there's the solid "Seek And Find" by Zebulun & King Solomon and then Matthew Greenidge & Rincher with the decent "Burn To Learn". The compilation is rounded off with the version of the "PassOver" riddim. We're pretty sure that no discerning roots fan can resist the "PassOver" riddim!
