This album is the dub companion to "Rhythm & Sound w/ The Artists", and as that album collected the 8 vocals recorded in Berlin, New York and Jamaica over the last three years for Berlin's Rhythm & Sound label, the 8 dubs featured on the flipside of these 10" releases are collected here. Where 'w/ The Artists' draws because of its vocals the reggae-card, 'the versions' makes clear how deep the minimalistic dense production is embedded in modern dance production as much as it is in the roots of dub.
