In the year 2002 producer and one of Jamaica's dynamic talented musicians Steven "Lenky" Marsden has increased his profile on the reggae dancehall scene - and then also the international music scene - with the creation of two of the biggest bashment riddims. The extremely successful "Diwali" (currently laying waste to the US Billboard charts) and its follow up "Masterpiece" spawned the hits "No Letting Go" and "Glad You Came My Way" by Wayne Wonder, Sean Paul’s "Get Busy" and others. Both riddims had core hits like "Sufferer" and "Raging Storm" by Bounty Killer and "Shake It" by Zumjay to name a few. Hit maker Lenky is definitely on top of today's bashment game as comes to full expression with his latest riddim creation titled "Time Travel". Due to its up-tempo beat and bouncy vibe this brand new infectious riddim is reminiscent of both the earlier riddims, however in the end it turns out to be quite different. As already was the case with "Diwali", Lenky has built unique arrangements that blend the vibe of the lyrics delivered by the artist and backing track. This makes that "Time Travel" has a musicality not often associated with dancehall riddims (and that is probably the reason why these efforts also appeal to a non-dancehall audience). Standout tracks are "Nah Mix Up" by Elephant Man, "Many Gal" by Bounty Killer, "Taking The Music" by Wayne Marshall, "The Specialist" by Degree and "Fake Badman" by the ever-improving Determine. Only minus of this "Riddim Driven" set is the playing time of 33:11 m:s.
