Here's the latest offering from the ever reliable ReggaeLand record label, which in recent years attracted notable attention with their output of quality reggae music including juggling riddims such as "High On Love", "Dem Talking", "Cultura", and "Hold Di Trinity", and full length albums by Anthony Que, Chantelle Ernandez, Singer Jah, and Malijah. All these aforementioned fine artists, joined by the great conscious rasta singers Jahmali and Mikey General, are present on ReggaeLand's brand new project called "The Change Riddim EP". With the latter, the Barcelona based production house delivers an appealing fresh original roots backdrop with R&B influences and sweet piano and guitar melodies.

Followers of the label will instantly recognize the previously released tunes "Going On Ward" by Malijah and the captivating title track "The Change", a wicked collaboration effort done by Jamaican songstress Chantelle Ernandez and Dutch singer Joggo. Both tracks are solid conscious cuts, worth hearing over and over again. However, the same can be said about the other four tracks. Anthony Que's "Tonight", which deals with affairs of the heart, fully shows the singer's almost unbelievable pitch. Also one of our favourite singers, the under recorded Jahmali, delivers a decent love song. The passionate "Do It For Love" is expected to appear soon on the album he's currently working on. Singer Jah's "What A Day" makes a very good impression. It's a noteworthy conscious tune that deals with everyday life problems. This 6 track juggling set is rounded off in great style by Mikey General's uplifting tune "Jah Will Be There", the second single out of his much anticipated album "Hailelujah Song", which is expected to come out later this year.

A thoroughly entertaining riddim set fi sure!!
