Peter Tosh 75th Earthstrong Tribute in Long Beach
On October 13, friends, fellow musicians, and fans of late reggae legend Peter Tosh gathered — at the Golden Sails hotel in Long Beach, California — to pay tribute to the Stepping Razor, his enduring legacy, and, his impending 75th earthstrong on October 19.
Legendary founding members of the Soul Syndicate, bassist George “Fully” Fullwood, guitarist Tony Chin, and drummer Carlton “Santa” Davis (Santa was with Tosh the night he was killed — and he was shot, too) were joined on stage during this blessed event by many talented performers who came to express the importance of Peter Tosh’s music in their lives. These very talented artists included: Michael Hyde (keyboards); Glenn Holdaway (horn); Andre Morris (horn); Mermans Mosengo (vocals); I-Taweh (vocals); Odel Johnson (vocals); Errol Bonnick (vocals); and Karen Grant (vocals).
Please enjoy the photos and video I took to memorialize this special, unforgettable occasion.
