It was a bit chilly February 20, 2022, when legendary members of the iconic Soul Syndicate band—bassist George ‘Fully’ Fullwood, guitarist Tony Chin, and drummer Carlton ‘Santa’ Davis—took the outdoor stage at ‘My Place’ in Huntington Beach, California. However, despite the fact that the temperature got only colder as they performed—joined by Donovan Carless (an original lead singer for Soul Syndicate for many years), veteran keyboard player Michael Hyde, Cedric the saxophonist, trumpeter Glen Holliday, singer Mermans Mosengo, and violinist Alicia Previn—the reggae was so hot, hot, hot, no one cared about the brisk weather. Warmed by righteous, rhythmic sounds, jubilant concert-goers danced, drank their beers, smoked their spliffs, and sometimes sang along—producing a relaxed atmosphere imbued with happiness, friendship, kindness of spirit, and good vibes.

Please enjoy the video footage and photos I took to document—exclusively for Reggae-Vibes—this very special, spectacular, Southern California reggae-happening. And, as always, bless up!
