“Macka B takes over New York”

Vegan reggae sensation Macka B was in New York from Tuesday Nov 14-Thursday Nov 16 for a short promo trip and made several stops all around New York. In addition to doing interviews with Vogue, Afro Pop and Tempo, he did three meet and greets in Queens at Veggie Castle, Manhattan at Urban Vegan Kitchen and Long Island at The Record Stop in Patchogue. He also stopped by the VP Corporate office for photos with the owners of VP Records, Patricia Chin and her sons Randy and Chris Chin.

The viral success of his single ‘Cucumber’ amassed 43 million views on Facebook since its release, prompting a mash-up remix with Drake’s “Passion Fruit” and a repost by actress Tracee Ellis Ross which elicited a comment Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles. Now, the UK reggae artist is back with a new album, the food focused “Health is Wealth.” The focus track for the album is “Wha Me Eat (remix)’ a vegan anthem fully supported by Macka B TV and his newly launched ‘Wha Me Eat’ health supplements and clothing line. Both ‘Cucumber’ and ‘Wha Me Eat’ remix are Health Eating Anthems, that have the rhythm and the melody to make any health conscious person excited about music that reflects their life style.

Macka B is a true global messenger for healthy eating, utilizing social media/YouTube for his ‘Medical Mondays’ & ‘Wha Me Eat Wednesdays’ as well as taking his live show across five continents to perform sell out shows in Jamaica, Hawaii, Japan, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, South Africa, Senegal, Sierra Leone, New Zealand and Australia. At the end of 2017, Macka B will be performing in the Netherlands (Thu Dec 28, Nijmegen & Fri Dec 29 in Maastricht). Check him when he’s in your area.
