First single from “Jitta Riddim”: Sr Wilson – Zapatillas
Dub Stuy is releasing a brand new hit for the spring featuring Catalan artist and dub specialist Sr. Wilson with “Zapatillas” – which is the first single from the upcoming “Jitta Riddim” album also featuring Cutty Ranks & Troy Berkley.
Sr. Wilson has been steadily making a name for himself recently touring worldwide with OBF Soundsystem (from the US to Japan), as well as with his own band. Known for songs such as “Rub A Dub Mood” or “Chatty Chatty”, “Zapatillas” is set to be his next big release.
Produced by DJ Madd, the instrumental is a sturdy yet spacious riddim accompanied by a sweet melody and guitar stabs that are anchored together by slapping snares, dub effects and a rolling bassline – creating a heavy yet energetic record with the dub dance floors in mind.
Known for his versatility and ability to switch styles and topics, Sr. Wilson delivers an anthem for all the “sneaker fanatics” around the world with “Zapatillas”. Singing in a mix of his native Spanish and English, Sr. Wilson shares tales of having the “sneaker-bug” with a catchy chorus that name checks some of the more popular brands. His blend of Dub and Reggaeton influenced auto-tune is sure to appeal to dj’s and club goers worldwide.
Lace up your sneakers and get ready to move your feet on the beat of Dub Stuy’s new riddim.
