Buju Banton feat. Stephen Marley – Yes Mi Friend | New Song

In 1969, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry released the The Wailers’ song “Duppy Conqueror” on his Upsetter imprint. Twenty years ago Mikey Spice’s version of the song on the Big Ship label became a massive hit, and now there’s a next version done by Buju Banton in collaboration with Bob’s son Stephen Marley. The two artists performed the song together for the first time on the ‘Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise’. The powerful “Yes Mi Friend” is included on Buju Banton’s highly anticipated new album “Upside Down 2020”. Released on June 26th, the album includes 20 tracks and features collaborations with Stephen Marley, John Legend, Pharrell and Stefflon Don.
