July One – International Reggae Day
International Reggae Day was inspired by Winnie Mandela’s address to Jamaican women during her official visit to Jamaica with her husband Nelson after his release from prison. It’s the first ever annual calender event to be officially proclaimed and dedicated to reggae music.
International Reggae Day is a 24 hour global media festival anchored in Jamaica celebrating the best of Jamaica’s music and creativity and its influence around the world. More info here.
