Protoje feat. Lila Iké – Late At Night

Offcial music video for the fourth single taken from Protoje’s forthcoming album Third Time’s The Charm, scheduled for release on 23rd September. Protoje intricately weaves 1970s American soul and 1980s Jamaican lovers rock into a modern day song called Late At Night. The tune’s rhythmic framework samples songstress Pam Hall’s 1981 Late At Nights which was produced by Gussie Clark. This updated version, done in collaboration with Lila Iké, adds deeper sentiment of social commentary on the original that was sung by the Philadelphia soul group The Stylistics and Detroit’s R&B vocal trio The Jones Girls.
