T Flex launches Talent Contest in Spanish Town

Popular Spanish Town promoter T Flex, in association with Symphony Complex, launched its Karaoke and Talent Search Contest at its karaoke home, 1c March Pen Road, SpanishTown, last Saturday, Feby 4. 2023.
In an interview with Reggae-Vibes, T Flex, given name Wayne Douglas, expressed pleasure to be hosting another talent contest.
“Spanish Town, a former capital of Jamaica, needs some form of event to unite the people.”
“This competition has the right energy because we have gone through two years of locking down, and people just need to go out and enjoy themselves once more.”
“This (talent contest) is nothing new as I have done several before COVID. I have a dynamic team and we always deliver.”
The competition has three main objectives; a platform for people to expose their talent; help in uniting communities with participants sharing the same stage and support each other. And, giving back to his community with part proceeds from the event providing scholarships for fatherless children in the community.”

The audition is on Saturday, February 11, starting at 6:OO pm, with four weeks of elimination – Saturday Feby 18, Feby 25, March 4 and 11, with the grand finals on March 18, 2023.
The promoter will hand over $250,000 in cash and prizes along with prizes for Best Performer, Best Dressed and Most Disciplined contestant.
The event kicked off with prayers from Sister Brooks and the playing of Tina Turner’s hit song, “Simply the Best.”
Young entrepreneur Sasha from Berry Berry Fashion and Accessories in endorsing the competition praised T Flex for bringing entertainment which will, in the long run, help the community.
“We all know the love T Flex has for this community and his long-term contribution to so many areas including education and being a positive role model. Let us hope that this competition will be long remembered.”
Portmore’s Karaoke powerhouse Freshest provided first-class entertainment along with over a dozen entertainers. They included Christina Martin, Danuel Ducran, and Profit Revelation.
