Horace Andy vs. Alton Ellis : Dub Fi Dub

About 20 years ago, Paris-based team of Patate Records produced two riddims with UK-based musician/producer Steve Mosco aka Jah Warrior, one of them being a relick of the classic Cuss Cuss riddim. Artists like Earl 16, U Brown, Winston McAnuff but also Horace Andy and Alton Ellis were brought into the studio to voice cuts on the riddims. Now, 20 years later, Bellevue International presents two previously unreleased dub cuts of Horace Andy and Alton Ellis on the Cuss Cuss riddim. Horace Andy’s Dubbing Away is the dubbed-up version of his remake of Cuss Cuss, while War In Dub is an awesome UK dub piece featuring militant lyrics by the late Alton Ellis. Both tracks were mixed at Conscious Sounds by Dougie Wardrop.
