Meadowbrook High hosts Fully Bright Team

Students at Meadowbrook High school displayed the best of discipine as they hosted the Fully Bright team to their school on May 12th, 2023.
Meadowbrook dancers opened the show with their creative interpretation of the Fully Bright dance moves. The lone male of the five member group did a version of the ‘dollar wine’ and had students screaming. Obviously pleased, he gave them a few more moves which had teachers smiling.
Dr. Garth McDonald, the deejay, gave the students a mild dose of his Fully Bright medicine. Those who were shy came out with flowing responses to questions which showed students have a blooming command of the English language.
The Fully Bright Afrobeat/Reggae Dancehall Doc. then peformed his Fully Bright song, backed by Wassdemm and Anna K. The duo vibrant choreographed moves brought out the importance of education.
Students from the school secured high points for their Fully Bright poetry, while a trio of boys – not booked for the show – decided they wanted a piece of the action and danced while cellphones captured the moment.
Over fifteen students earned Fully Bright certificates for academic performance, discipline. and other deserving deeds.
Commendation goes out to the school’s Mr. L. Lawrence, who did a fantastic job at such a short notice.
The event brought out community leaders including Opal Davis, JP, President, St. Andrew North Neighborhood Watch Council, and Inspector Cheree Greaves in charge of the Community Safety and Security Branch for St. Andrew North Division.
