Following her recent single Tek Chat, currently at number 4 in the Reggae Top 25 of Richie B’s Jamaican Countdown Charts, ‘Rebel Empress’ Yeza delivers another worthwhile single titled Star Of The East. Produced by renowned sound system and reggae culture pioneer Rory StoneLove, it’s the first single and title track taken off her debut album slated to be released later in the summer.

The deep and enchanting bass, drums and horns ensemble has been skillfully crafted by Dean Fraser, Kirk Bennett, the late Dannie Bassie, and other notable instrumentalists. Yeza’s Star of the East is an ode to the memories she has of growing up in Star Lane, a pillar for dancehall, reggae and sound system culture. Despite battling harsh political and social issues that have plagued the beautiful island of Jamaica for decades, Yeza has encapsulated all those memories in this brand new song.
