Reggae Geel 2023: Line-Up Complete

After previously having announced some of the names that will be at Reggae Geel this year, the rest of the lineup has been revealed today.
MAINSTAGE : GRAMMY WINNERS & LEGENDS
Already revealed was the name of the legendary Burning Spear alongside Tarrus Riley, Johnny Osbourne, Marcia Griffiths, Lone Ranger, Tanya Stephens, Kabaka Pyramid, Micah Shemaiah, and Yaksta. To this lists have now been added the names of the following artists.
First there’s Masego! This Jamaican-born US artist brings magic to the Saturday night. His recent show at Core Festival gathered more stars than Paul Bocuse can count. The sensual sax from his signature song “Tadow” is known around the country. After his debut “Lady, Lady”, and his second album “Masego”, this guy is ready to go big. His genius fusion of soul, jazz and R&B makes its mark on the world. TrapHouseJazz is what he calls it.
Mr. Vegas crushed it hard in the 1990s, especially with his anthem “Heads High”. Until today, he’s still one of the most influential and acclaimed reggae and dancehall artists in the world. A high-energy hit machine, serving his discography sizzling hot!
Richie Spice is another big hitter. At the beginning of the millennium, this new roots artist chewed out one classic after another. An energy explosion on stage, with a voice that ruthlessly aims at your dancing feet.
Jesse Royal launched his debut in 2017 and immediately went for the Billboard Reggae Album Chart. His second album, “Royal”, even got nominated for a Grammy and the “2021 Album of the Year” award.
Last, but not least: the funky and loving reggae from Young Israelites from – you’ll not believe this – Israel! Check their YouTube channel and get infatuated. Nattali Rize and Ras I, two young potentials with loads of ambition, complete the Main Stage line-up.
BOUNCE DANCEHALL : NO SLEEP BECAUSE OF BROOKLYN
Already announced were Chi Ching Ching, Seani B, Herbalize It, Soulshakers, High Grade Sound, Rockefella Babe, Millinguap, and Discobaar A Moeder. The rest of the names that will be creating Sizzling Hot Party Vibes are now also known.
Well, if you’re a legendary sound system from the city that never sleeps, expectations run high. No worries, King Addies will certainly deliver. This NY sound system is known as one of the most influential in the world. Already at it for 33 years, they’re delivering pure dynamite at the Bounce Dancehall on Saturday.
Code Red Sound is the undisputed emperor of the Jamaican scene. These guys have smashed parties from Ottawa to Johannesburg. On Saturday, they’ll set the Bounce Dancehall ablaze. Shots fired!
Earlier in the day, Becca D – London-based multitalent and MTV VJ – will surely raise the temperature. This DJ already supported stars like Gorillaz and Protoje. DJ Madbwoy, Holland’s most promising DJ, completes the line-up.
DUB FOREST : ALL ABOUT THAT BASS, BABY
The place to be for hypnotizing echoes and pounding bass lines with Mad Professor,Roberto Sánchez + Linval Thompson, King Shiloh feat. Papa Ricoh, King Alpha Soundsystem, Uptown Hi-Fi, and the Metta Frequencies. Now is also revealed who are going to join them.
Producer and musician Dennis Bovell is an icon who worked for everyone from Stereo MC’s to Arcade Fire, Joss Stone, Boomtown Rats, Wet Wet Wet and Fela Kuti. Britain’s Reggae Maestro is about the go big in the Dub Forest. An exceptional legend in a legendary location.
Present too: Youth & Truth, host sound on Friday with their hand-crafted Power Towers of Sound. French Hitman & Fiza complete the line-up with their vintage ’90s sound.
