The Tighters – The Tighters EP
The Tighters, a reggae band hailing from Valence, France, has recently unveiled their self-titled debut EP. Drawing inspiration from traditional roots reggae, the group showcases their musical prowess across seven tracks, which include live studio recordings and dub or remix versions by renowned names such as Vibronics from the UK, as well as Manjul and Barbés D from France. The EP consists of three vocal cuts, followed by four remixed renditions of the first (Talking) and third vocal piece (Simplicity).
At the heart of this collective stands Ante, a Swedish reggae singer and composer with a rich discography under his belt. Prior to his time in France, he was a member of Lide Najs, an influential collective alongside Antonio D and O-Hund, and contributed to numerous reggae groups in Sweden. Throughout his career, Ante has collaborated with esteemed musicians like Manjul, Promoe from Loop Troop, Ahmed Fofana, Thiorno Sam, and Barbés D, among others.
