Emoji Music Genesis

The Emoji Music Genesis label in Kingston, is owned and operated by Poye “Buka” Robinson, who is visually impaired. He believes that music is a powerful inspirational tool that may be used to uplift and elevate individuals facing any challenges in the same way it helped him to overcome the tragedy of losing his sight. Their aim is to produce and publish only clean, chaste and violent free music that can be listened to and enjoyed by the entire family. Their latest effort is the Reggae Bliss riddim, a medium paced reggae backdrop, voiced by several renown artists like Queen Ifrica, Junior Kelly, Richie Spice, Iba Mahr and Luciano, and two up and coming singers Leon Smilez and Symatic.

Fierce Tune

Duane Stephenson brings an heartfelt lovers tune, Black Magic Woman. He has been hurt and he uses the riddim to express his feelings. Powerful Queen Ifrica knows how to impress the listener with a fierce tune called Colour Of Rejection. Singing about self awareness and the right to be a unique person makes this song a winner. Leon Smilez, blessed with a bold voice and a captivating sound, steps up with an enjoyable lovers tune, Our Love’s Amazing. In the same vein Symatic delivers his emotional ballad.

Strive For Your Dreams

Junior Kelly, well know for his dynamic performance, shines on Strive. In this tune he encourages youths to strive for their dreams by working hard, ignoring their enemies/opposers and shine as bright as stars while doing so. Then there’s Luciano, The Messenger aka Jah Messenger. He asks one of life’s most important questions “How we gonna heal this world”. He thinks (and we agree!) that we need Jah to heal our world.
Gideon soldier Richie Spice is worried about the children, the generation to come. The riddim is perfect for communicating his feelings. After Ginjah’s and Lymie Murray’s moving lovers tunes we check Iba Mahr’s conscious and uplifting lyrics. His vocal delivery on The Message perfectly suits the lyrical content and the riddim.
