Reggae North Music, a subsidiary of Reggae North Canada Inc, presents a delightful new musical project called Keele Street Riddim. This one riddim compilation showcases talented vocalists from the Canadian reggae scene, including Juno winners Kirk Diamond and Mikey Dangerous, JUNO nominees Ammoye, Tony Anthony, and Chester Miller, as well as up-and-coming artists like The Jempress, Tréson, Mel C, Onique, Skillman, and Richie C.

The Keele Street Riddim was created by Canadian musicians Osborne “Ifield” Joseph, who played various instruments, and Isax Injah on saxophone. Additionally, esteemed Jamaican musicians Kirk Bennett and Dean Fraser contributed to the riddim, while Trish Campbell and Ammoye provided background vocals. Despite the fact that the Keele Street Riddim is an ideal riddim for artists exploring roots reggae, it also provides a beautiful backdrop for those delving into romantic matters. This results in a vibrant project filled with a variety of outstanding and diverse vibes.

Kirk Diamond, a two-time winner of the JUNO, sets things in motion with his enchanting track titled Rastafari Calling, which stands out as one of the most delightful songs on this compilation. Tréson, the lead vocalist of the highly revered Canadian reggae group, The Human Rights, presents an uplifting tune called Stronger. The combination of his powerful vocals and the meaningful lyrics make this track truly captivating. Veteran artist Chester Miller follows, with a vocal style that somewhat resembles Dennis Brown, and presents a beautiful and conscious song titled Tribulation. At the conclusion of this compilation, Skillman from Montreal offers a decent message tune. Those in a romantic mood should not overlook Jempress’ F.L.Y (For Loving You), a song that captivates the emotions. Additionally, Ammoye, a six-time JUNO nominee, impresses with her beautiful track I Surrender. JUNO winner Mikey Dangerous delivers the exceptional Let It Go, sharing wisdom gained from love experiences. Reggae crooner Tony Anthony, a member of the production team of Reggae North Music, follows with the deeply personal and captivating track Never Knew You, which deserves multiple listens.

Overall, this is a throughout entertaining and absolutely gorgeous selection.
