Various - Bad Brat Riddim

First appearing on the early January 2018 released eight track EP “The Preliminary” from Kingston based dancehall singjay Darrio, the pulsating “Bad Bratt Riddim” – produced by Austria-based Tom Hype – now returns with five more cuts on this dancehall juggling project. Besides Darrio’s already known tune “Turn It Up”, a real dancefloor filler with powerful ‘on point’ lyrics and a positive vibe, there are more infectious offerings that will surely get the dancehall massive moving when played inna dance.

Shawn Brammer aka Bramma, previously also working under such stage monikers as Bramma Di Bomma and Bramma Di Gorilla, makes a decent impression with “Gunz Smoke”. Next comes “Aww Damn”, an entertaining solid cut delivered by Craigy T, who has a whole heap of hits under his belt as member of T.O.K.. Then there’s the title track “Bad Bratt”, which has been voiced by Shawn Ice. Hailing from St. Mary, Jamaica, the dancehall artist fully displays his lyrical flow and inimitable pitched voice. Two relative unknown upcomers, Slash & Blass and a young Jamaican artist from Deeside Trelawny named Korekshan, are reponsible for the last two cuts on the “Bad Bratt Riddim”. It’s in particular Slash & Blass’ “Way U Wine” that leaves the best impression.

An addictive riddim, difficult to turn off when it’s bouncing off your speakers.
