Press Wallpaper Riddim

Out of the UK comes this new riddim set called ‘Press Wallpaper’. Radio presenter/studio owner/producer Lloyd Mullings previous efforts were the ‘Be Thankful’ and ‘Love Hurts So Good’ riddims. The current riddim’s main topic is affairs of the heart, with a few conscious songs, across an addictive rub-a-dub reggae backdrop, based pon the riddim of ‘Why Did You Leave’.

Decent album opener by Robbie Valentine, “Live The Life You Love”, but Lloyd Brown’s “Catchafyah” makes a better impression. Torch’s “Great I Am” is a winner, fi sure! Lantan has been active in the reggae scene since the 90s. His contribution here is to the point and convincing, love this one!

Miami based Ian Sweetness, the man with the soulful reggae voice, delivers a splendid version of Bobby Womack’s “Wish You (He) Didn’t Trust Me So Much”. Kirk Davis licks the original tune inna medley style, Anthony Que’s tune is 100% lovers style. The instrumental cut is included for good measure.
