JUNIOR TUCKER – PRAISE HIS NAME – DIGITAL B

In 1997, Bobby “Digital” Dixon updated the riddim of Black Uhuru classic Leaving To Zion for Sizzla’s track Hard Ground from the album Black Woman And Child. The producer also put out two 7″ singles of that riddim on his Digital B imprint including Junior Tucker’s Praise His Name. The singer is in real good shape and delivers a very appealing cultural tune, one of his best songs to date. In 2009, Junior Tucker recorded a new version of the song for Island Worship Music, but it lacked the rawness of the original one. The flipside of the single carries an acapella version.
