Cocoa Tea’s 1998 single Mr Neck Tie Man uses ‘Fatis’ Burrell’s recut of the old Studio One/Larry Marshall chestnut Mean Girl built off a sample of the 1976 Channel One version of Mighty Diamonds’ I Need A Roof. The single features a first class performance with Cocoa Tea singing sweeter than ever, demanding that the Mr Neck Tie Man of the title to “Move before I tell you ’bout your pants and shirt bwoy!”. Other versions on the riddim include Luciano’s epic hymn Sweep Over My Soul and Capleton’s Stand Tall.
